The Chairman of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC Limited, Mr Ivan Deveson AO, today announced the appointment of Mr Bruce Grey to the new role of Group Managing Director.
Mr Grey commenced his appointment from 12 October 2009. This will replace the position of CEO within the Advanced Manufacturing CRC. In making the announcement Mr. Ivan Deveson Chairman of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC said: “this appointment has been made to continue to strengthen the management of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC as part of the evolution of the Company. Bruce Grey has a strong record in senior management together with considerable experience in international commercialisation of Australian research.”
The former CEO of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC, Dr. Mark Trigg has accepted the role of Managing Director – Research and Business Development. He will be securing and finalising new participants for the CRC. Dr Trigg has been pivotal in attracting a number of significant new projects into the Advanced Manufacturing CRC during its first 18 months of operation.
Mr Grey was formerly Managing Director of Bishop Technology Group and was an Industry Nominee Director on the Governing Board of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC Limited. Mr Grey was also Chairman of the Advanced Manufacturing Action Agenda and was involved in the establishment of the Advanced Manufacturing CRC. He is currently on the Future Manufacturing Industry Innovation Council.
The Advanced Manufacturing CRC aims to create in excess of $500 million of economic activity through R&D and commercialisation of new Intellectual Property.
Mr Grey has extensive industry experience in the advanced manufacturing industry and his previous roles have included responsibility for innovation, intellectual property protection and commercialisation.
