Recent Successes from AMCRC Program Participants

MBD Energy

Developing technology to use algal strains to generate algal bio-products such as animal feedstock’s and fuels through the capture of carbon waste (e.g. from power plant emissions). Following a pilot stage MBD has brought forward plans for an IPO from 2013 to 2012.

Hard Technologies

Developed a unique surface modification technology for tools, die casts and metal parts which by making the part more durable, can increase the lifespan by as much as 300% or more. The project has moved into a commercial phase with the installation of the technology at a new plant in Altona, Victoria in 2010.

Marand Precision Engineering

Developing highly efficient brushless permanent magnetic motor technology for use in electric and hybrid vehicles. The first commercially available motors started rolling off the new production facility in January 2011.

Steps to Co-Investing with the AMCRC

The first step is to fill out a preliminary project proposal form. If we think there is a potential fit we will invite you to engage with us to develop a more detailed proposal for possible funding.

The next step is to identify the best team to bring to the table to help achieve your commercial goals.

Then we put in place an agreement to satisfy all parties and get started. Our process is designed to minimise red tape and maximize communication and transparency. We have a quarterly reporting mechanism where funds are paid quarterly.
