“Developing IP for control technologies and information systems”
Developing Australian-owned IP for control technologies and information systems to improve energy efficiency for the precision manufacturing sector, especially precision tooling and on generating and fabricating world-first, intelligent-system components compatible with existing telecommunication equipment for broadband network infrastructure enhancement.
Project Examples
Ausanda Pty. Ltd., CSIRO, Monash University and Australian SMEs are working together to develop proven IP for large-scale optical, integrated-circuit systems which will enable the seamless carriage of data streams over pre-installed networks. This technology will enable networks previously designed and optimised for carriage of 10 gigabytes of data to increase to 40 gigabytes, then 100 gigabytes of data streams.
UNSW researchers are working on developing reliable methods of modelling machine-energy consumption to increase energy efficiency in end-to-end process design. The work will also allow the prediction of associated environmental impacts of manufacturing processes.
