“Developing pre-emptive technologies for sustainability”
Following a formal approach to innovation, this research program is focused on developing technologies for the global renewable-energy and electric-vehicle industries. The Centre is identifying opportunities to pre-empt the market in product and manufacturing process areas, with the ultimate aim being to create Centre IP. This will be created in conjunction with local and international research partners, and Australian SMEs that have prospects with commercialising the IP will be engaged by the AMCRC. The AMCRC is actively seeking research and commercial partners with interests in electric vehicle and renewable energy technologies to become involved in this research program.
Project Examples
- CSIRO is working with Marand Precision Engineering to develop a tidal stream generator and in-wheel permanent magnet motor technology for use on solar cars.
